Routine Chiropody

After a relaxing footbath, your nails trimmed, corns and callus gently and painlessly removed and a mini foot massage; you will feel like many people comment, as though you are “walking on air”.

Ingrowing Toenails

Ingrowing toenails are commonly caused by poor nail cutting. If after routine treatment the nail continues to be ingrowing then nail surgery (partial or total removal of nail under local anaesthetic) to permanently resolve the problem may be an option.

Orthotics

Orthotics are insoles that redistribute your body weight more evenly correcting any imbalances in the way that you walk. This may help address the cause of your foot pain.

Computerised Gait Analysis

Walk over the mat and look at the scan of your feet, which will identify any imbalances in your walking pattern. This information will help formulate a treatment plan.

Foot Mobilisation

Foot Mobilisation is a hands-on gentle manipulation technique to loosen up stiff joints. If you have pain in your foot/feet it may be due to injury, footwear or just overuse. There are 26 bones in the foot. When you continually overstrain ligaments, tendons and capsules around the joints of the bones they do not always recover to their original strength. This then affects the muscles in the foot and leg, which affects the way you walk leading to more FOOT PAIN!!!

Foot mobilisation in conjunction with exercises to stretch, strengthen and stabilise muscles in the feet and legs may help restore your normal function helping to resolve acute and chronic pain.

An initial biomechanical consultation will be necessary to establish your foot problem and initiate a treatment plan.
