ABOUT OUR FOOT CLINIC

Welcome

Lucy is the owner and Podiatrist at the Hastings foot clinic, qualifying in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science BSc with Honors Degree from Brighton University. With added qualifications in Local Anaesthetic (LA) , which is used when carrying out Nail surgery and (POMs) prescription only medicines that she can prescribe and sell to patients.

Our training is extent and we carry out 1,000 clinical hours over the 3-4 years of training. This is working in observing in NHS clinics and hospitals as well as Private Clinics specialising in Orthotics and Diabetes. Lucy went to Kings college London, Southwark NHS and Brighton hospital for placements as well as The Leaf Hospital in Eastbourne where most of the Training and studying was.
Lucy took the clinic over in 2017 from Mrs Caroline Samson who successfully established and ran the clinic for 15 years.

Lucy is a Member of The Royal College of Podiatry and also registered with the HCPC, the health care professions council, who regulate.

How to find us

The clinic is Located in St Andrews Shopping Mews, Opposite M&S in the centre of Hastings. There is no Parking outside, however disabled bays are just around the corner in Waldegrave Street.

Priory meadow has a multi story car park and there is street parking. Morrisons supermarket is a 15 min walk away with 2 hour free parking.
Access to the clinic is on one level, so wheelchairs and mobility scooters have no problem attending appointments.

All appointments are pre arranged and booked. When treating patients the phone is unable to be answered so an answer machine gives information and takes messages. Your call will be returned by Lucy or one of her reception team in the afternoon.
Cancellation policy 24h notice.

About Me

I qualified from Brighton University with my Podiatry degree in 2011 and have been practicing for 6 years.

I lived in Buckinghamshire after I qualified and did some work in the NHS as well as private home visits.

I recently moved back to Hastings and was building up my own business with home visits before coming to join the Hastings Foot Clinic.

Prior to qualifying as a Podiatrist I was a teaching assistant in local schools for 10 years.

I am always attending training evenings and conferences to update my knowledge and skills and I am able to conduct toenail surgery and prescribe some medicines.

I am a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (Scpod – The College of Podiatry) and I am Registered on the Health and Care Professions council (HCPC).

My Grandmother was a Chiropodist in Hastings and I have always had a passion for holistic care.
